How do i go about doing this please ? i have done a bit of trawling and think it would mean changing rollers from stock to lighter ones , if this is correct how do i find out weight of current rollers and how much lighter would new ones need to be only started on 2 wheels back in jan of this year and at nearly 50 i'm a bit of a scooter dummy so be gentle please any advice greatly appreciated Thanks
find out what wieght is fitted standard, then drop down a gram, its a bit hit and miss with rollers.. ps dont worry about age, i'm 51 and i dont think i'm the oldest here, we all start somewhere.
Oi! I'm 51 as well, there's more of us old 'uns on here than you think... Lighter rollers allow the engine to spin up a little faster before the pulleys engage the clutch, increasing the acceleration a bit. If you tell us what bike you have we can maybe advise what weight of rollers to get.
I suggest some Clairol hot rollers for that, mark I'll see your Pantheon and raise you a Suzuki Burgman.
OK, that model uses 23x18mm, 23 gram rollers. On the Bay of E's, Polini rollers come in 12.4 grams and upwards sizes. I would try a set at around 20 grams and see how that changes the performance. The Pantheon isn't a light bike and going too wild with the roller weights might give you unexpected results. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Roller-We...16?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2a2f65d864
