my new jets came today for my AEROX but i am having trouble fitting them. does the carb have to be taken of or can you work on it whilst its still on. has anyone got any links or pics. help needed thanks
Your far better off removing the carb, just remember where all the cables hooked up to. You will need to remove the float bowl and I think the jet is in there.
removing the carb y i have a aerox and i just lean the bike over slightly unscrew the two screws then the float comes off then change the jet easy as tht
i managed to change the jet in my carb but when i put the bike back together it started but cut out and then petrol came out one of the pipes coming from the carb. i dont know if i put the float in right and also i found this which i dont know where it came from [/img] how does the float go in and where has this come from? any ideas cheers guys.
that slips into the float next ot the pin and sits in the hole.. this is the floa valve wich is pushed into the petrol inlet valve by the rising float.
ive put it back in but now it starts then cuts out and petrol still pours out of the smaller pipe whats going on with my bike?
the little bit at the top slides into a part of the slide then the pointy black bit goes in the hole in the pic...
then its ether not locked into the float or the float isnt floating anymore...is the pin in place aswell as the needle?
done it. the pin which held the float in had to be replaced. temporarily but oh well it works cheers minor confusion
Sometimes the float sticks and you have to give it a little tap with a hammer, you'll be surprised how many people struggle finding the problem and all it needs is a tap!!! :w00t:
