my aerox is getting on quite a bit in mileage and its done 18500 kmh (genuine) but its nt even 3 years old yet. i just wanted to know when its sensible to change barrel piston rings head etc. also same with the crank. its all running fine at the moment there are no sort of weird noises or loss in speed etc.

My Vespa ET2 50 has 14,600miles on it, which is probably around 27,000-30,000km. Runs fine apart from some slight bogging mid-throttle due to carb tuning (I caused it).

So I dont think you need a re-build yet, not for double your mileage I think. Unless your going flat out everywhere? :D

seen that guide crana. i do maintain my bike quite a lot. changed break pads on my bike both front and back. front ones are about 2 weeks old. changed back tire. fronts ok. battery is fine. bought new brake switches. new coolant. maintained decent oil. used petrol additive every now and then. cleaned out airfilter. checked carb. changed rollerd clutch spring belt contra spring.

the only thing i havent done is changed the transmission oil. dont have a clue how to. do you have to split the engine or anything? can anyone help.

nope , theres a screw underneath the trannycase which is the oil drain and you fill it up using the cap at the top of the case
