time to renew my insurance on honda pcx 125. mce quoted me 475, that is comp and with 1 year ncb (inc 30 to protect ncb) i am 30 y/o. but in the breakdown of cost the guy mentioned its a french company that is doing the policy, which is actually only about £125 and £300 is mce's admin costs!!
is this a con? it feels like it so i havent renewed yet.

how much would i actually save going 3rd party instead and is it worth getting comp on a 2011 pcx, its in good condition but i paid 1.6k for it a year ago so worth what, maybe 1.2-1.3k now?

like fully comp insurance it all really depends on the area you live in, your occupation, how many miles you will do a year, a good way of getting a rough price would to just go on some comparison sites and hunt around, you can ALWAYS get a better deal and that does sound like a bit of a rip off to me but like I said all depends on area, licence, occupation and what youre going to use it for aswell as mileage. hope this helped a little

i tell you what. get insurance on the internet!!

i went on compare the market, lowest quote was MCE, and like 170 rather than the 470 the same company quoted on the phone!!

have no idea how that works, but there we go.

i ran with go compare, 27 no bike ncb, but 9 years driving cars. 100 quid third only

but my ped only cost 300 quid.

id say get on the blower/interwebs and get a better deal with fully comp

mce were dickheads with me, price werent bad on my first chinese ped but the minute i got something with a badge on it they wanted £240 to swap over or £180 to cancel the policy, my grandma had a few choice words for them over the phone ill tell you that haha, im with carol and nash now and only pay £160 tpo with 1 year ncb and car licence, but i told them i did under 1000 miles a year and i am a student haha.

Hey there, I am with MCE but I got my quote through compare the market (free Alexander meerkat 2) and I paid 140quid, it really varies tho I have noticed that sometimes it's more expensive just to have 3rd party only. It really does suck with some quotes I had, and it is unfair, but hey that's life I suppose.
