How many scooters have 5 sided heads?

Does anybody know, what 50cc scooter has a 5 sided barrel & head, apart from the Piaggio nrg mc3? I am currently in dispute with a supplier who sent me a 4 sided instead of a 5 sided head & basically he claims that he only deals with 5 sided kits, & has NEVER had a 4 sided kit in his shop? Most of the "Big Bore" kits I see online are 4 sided, so he must have a very small customer base if he only sells to nrg mc3 owners?
Secondly, this 4 sided kit he sent me fits my scooter no problem, but gives me nowhere to attach my cooling hose, so how many 4 sided 50cc scooter cylinder heads are there? 5? 10? 100? I cant find anybody who sells anything other than "Big Bore" kits, variator belts & rollers, & clutches, does nobody deal with other scooter parts??????

 

I think what you're referring to is the liquid cooled (5 sided) and air cooled (square) cylinders. The NRG came with both (completely identical apart from that for the most part) but obviously the one that's right for your bike is the one that's right for your bike..

The cylinder you're after isn't hard to find or anything like that. Exactly the same as fitted to all of the liquid cooled piaggio and gilera 50 bikes(zip sp and gilera runners among others).

Pedparts.co.uk has a good stock of replacement parts if you're trying to buy new

 

Thanks for that, as you say the LC 4 & 5 sided are exactly the same, I ordered a 5 sided "Big Bore Kit" for an nrg & received a 4 sided for God knows what? & all I need is a thermostat cover to connect the hose to the new head. But instead of doing that, the supplier prefers to call me a liar & says that he sent me a 5 sided & that I am trying to con him by getting him to supply me with parts for a kit I bought elsewhere???????
All I want is a thermostat cover to replace the "Heath Robinson" part I have made out of plumbing fittings, I keep expecting it to blow out under my arse lol. I will certainly try Pedparts thank you.

 

I managed to get a thermostat cover from Pedparts but being Mallosi it iis plastic & cost me £18 inc p&p, I also ordered one with JTS my local dealer which is alloy & cost £6.45!!!
They have the part in stock at Pedparts (in plastic), whereas JTS have had to order from Piaggio which could take a month, so it looks like I am going to have a spare alloy one after Xmas which is better than not having one at all!

the 4-sided ones were used on all Piaggio up until 1997, after that they all changed to 5-sided

note there is no atatchment for the hose...
everything after 1997 was 5-sided with the hose attachment like this...
