How hot should my aerox water pump be getting?

    My aerox water pump seems to be getting really hot, I started the bike up from cold, did a mile! , stopped and checked the water pump and I couldn't touch it because it was that hot!

    Is this normal

    if you only rode a mile it should not be so hot that you cant touch it
