    ive looked at the name and the profiles,but cant find any pm buttons , thanks

    I thought the same, but on here, it's called a conversation, same as private messages.

    Either you click on their name within a topic and it brings up a popup box that has "start a conversation" in it or you go onto their profile page and click on the Information tab and there is "start a conversation" there as well.
