I have got a Zip, it does 30mph on the clocks , is it restricted if it's only doing that ?
It has no washer in the exhaust , going to have a look in the Variator tomorrow, what do I need to look out for ? Also is there any other restrictions on a ZIP?

Theres a washer between the variater not the exhaust, the exhaust restriction is some extra bit added to the pipe.

Thats what I meant, it's not there, you can see where the welds have been drilled.
So just the variator to check?

the restrictor washer is not in the variator itself it sits on the color that teh belt rests on.

also if the variator has a plate held on with 3 screws on the back this can also restrict the scooter as i have been informed today.

the 3 screwed varo isn't a restriction, its just a different type, stops the damn thing falling apart when ou open it although it does also stop the varo reaching its absolute full range.

sounds like you could do with some engine work.
