ok i may sound a bit dumb but i took the clutch nut off and i took the whole thing of the shaft....this is meant to happen right?
from here im baffled beacause it seems tricky to get to the springs
    how do you do it?

best get a spring puller and fasten the whole thing down to the bench...you'll need the leverage

Has anyone got a special technique that makes it real easy that they could video and post? Sure it'd make things easier for those who ain't done it or are struggling

when i did it i took the pad things off the clutch totaly filed off abit of paint off the new springs cos they barely fit if they fit atall with the paint on them (only took paint off the bit that actualy needs it takin off) attached all the springs then pushed it on the pins...its hard the springs are stiff as (at least my blue 125 springs wer) anyways good luck geez

the best way the get the the clutch springs out is to take the clutch off with a impact drill with the back brake on, once the clutch is off put 2 clamps around the clutch then losen off the big nut. then let off the clamps slowly then when the clutch is apart use a vice and clamp it onto the edge off the spring then pull the clutch away utill the sping is off repeat this utill all off the springs are off. with the new ones use the vice to put them back in as befor, once there all in it works best with 2 people, get one person to push the clutch together and the other person to put the nut on but watch out as it crosstheads easily, with clutch put together slide it on put the nut on then hold the back brake on again the tighten the nut with the impact drill untill its quite tight, 2 tight and you will never get it off again lol.

ignore EVERYTHING in that last post

holding the break to remove the clutch? poor gearbox?!?! clamps? bent pulley?!?!?! clutch in a vice? gonna bend it?!?!?! need 2 people?? you need to listen more than you talk.

the EASIEST method has been explained many many a time.. take thew shoe's off the clutch, install the springs, replace the shoes (line them up and bit by bit square them opn the shaft then squeese together wiht grips)

What you said was complete and utter bodge. Funnily enough we don't want to encourage people on here to fuck up their bikes.
