ok Ive just orderd new bore from SA. and as my engine is temporarily off my bike i would like to know how and where the gear up goes and how to fit it? oh n btw i have an aerox 55 plate. cheers
don't see why not. its not a standard 50 its a big bore (malossi) one. a kid i know has a gear up on his. and he has the same bore as the one im getting. oh n i got a 21% gear up by the way
thats gonna be gutless, be overtaken by stray bunny rabbits, 21% is a huge increase, you want to be running something like a polini evo setup for that.
i got a gear up kit from pmt.and i had to press out the shafts and then press the new straight cut gears back on.lucky for me i got a old fly press in my garage.you might have to take it to a garage/bike shop etc. top tip,look round the local industrial estate for an engineering firm with a motorbike in t car park, ask biker if he can do a "foreigner for a carrier bag full o stella" works 9 out of 10 ... best time to do it is 10 o-clock saturday morn. tea time. and the big bosses aint around, and when you get it back start gushing ..."cheers mate..brill ..top job.."makes us engineers feel good
