Basically everytime I accerlerate off, there is this vibration and its the same as when you let the clutch out to quick in a car!

It's going alot slower aswell now, im not sure whether its the clutch or crank bearings.

...Any help would be much appreiciated!

    Thanks josh.

is it slower top end aswell? as this would rule out a snapped spring in the clutch. the bearings may be at fault altho it might not be main bearings.

Its not much slower, but I can always feel the slightest difference in my bike anyway. I'll check my clutch tomorow, it's also like a minimal knocking when riding and the fastest I get the more it goes, cant tell where its coming from though :msn1:

The main worries the vibration when I accelerate off to be honest.

Im also pushing a mhr'z on a standard crank...Chance its bent?

the knocking sounds might be the engine "pinking" there might be something getting really hot like carbon deposits, setting the petrol alight before the pistons at TDC creating a "pink" sound.

well thats what i think ahaha

Im getting a bit of vibration on my Runner 70!! The thing is it dont do it
    all the time...

if im accelarating up a steady hill about 45mph i get a faint vibration
that reminds me of ...A galloping horse hooves!!!!

which I thought must be the main bearings or big end vibrating!!

And ive got another different vibration/knocking which happens if i
approach a T junction and pull away without fully stopping 1st...its a thudding
feeling which happens twice accompanyied with a slight lurching...

I put this one possibly down to possibly belt slip even though ive got a brand new polini belt....I possibly need a stronger contra spring!!!!

And sometimes i get a faint shudder just before i slow to a stop!!!

Minor....any comments on my strange goings on with my scooter???

yup, knobbely/worn belt or any of the 4 pulleys are worn, the tinyest little grove or belt in any part where the belt touches will create heavy vibration as its such high rpm. could also be a warped clutch bell that once hot becomes round, could be a bent imput shaft (what the clutch sits on) could eb a worn bearing in the gearbox. the list goes on so rip it apart and change anything visually worn and easy to fit. belt and front pulley are around 40 quid together and take less than 20 mins to fit so try them first. atleast you have a new one even if it wasent the case.

one thing is crucial, don't just ignore the vibrations in the hope that they will go away or you may end up like this:

If your've fitted new bushes, they may be to tight? The steel sleeve needs to stick out past the plastic bush each end by 1/2mm. The joint should move easy but not loose!
