My horn is behind my knee shield, but not sure if its an MOT failure where it is? My mate says it will fail but not sure, is this true?

ok id say as long as the edges are rounded off enough you should be fine. although id be tempted to stick it near a wheel. say the mudflap mount or something

also do you have to have a horn button on your handlebars for MoT or can it be anywhere else? My horn button is dead and was gonna rewire it to my own button

as long as the button is easily accessible and the thing works in an emergency when needed then it'll be fine

enduros used to pass with an old bicycle squeezy type horn but think they've JUST changed the rules to outlaw them.
Personally i'd always go for a bar mounted button for ease of access...its quicker to get to and might be the difference between waking up a dreaming car driver or stoving your bike into the side of it coz he hasnt seen you

That exposed wiring could be a problem too..

if youve got time to find and press the button, youve got time to avoid it. on the ped ive not yet felt the need to find it, popped up a hand to show im anoyed at someone (not indicating going all the way around a roundabout, he soon slowed down and turned the indicator on)
