i have done a lot of tuning one runners, nrg's and so on so i have a half decent idea what im doin. my piston rings siezed the other day so got a new piston and thought id treat myself to a new variator, belt and pulley at the same time. but now it dont wont to start. it sounds like the battery is dead (even tried to jump it of my mates battery and a car battery) and still the same sound. i dont have a kick start cose the mechanism broke a while back. i think the starter motor is burnt out but would much appreciate other people opinions. thanks a lot matt p.s does anyone know of any breakers that will have a few honda parts or places i can get hold of an engine casing and kick start. thanks again
Would need some sort of a description of the noise really mate. Does it sound like the motor is spinning at all?
erm this will sound stupid but the best i can describe it the crenk will spin for mabye one rotation the stop quickly then try again like short bursts of energy. if you have ever had a semi flat battery you will know the sound. now the bike has a lot more compression the battery has to work harder, but a car battery should not have a trouble and my mates battry that starts a fully done 172 with no wories??? thanks for the reply matt
