    Hi Forum

Can you help me with some advice. I have a 2019, Honda Vision 50.

Yesterday it cut out, the bike was running as normal then, it started spluttering with a loss of revs and power similar to as if it was running out of petrol then the engine stopped along with all electrical power to the instrument panel. This all occurred over 150 meters and about 10 seconds from initial splutter to cut out. the bike has half tank of petrol.

When I turn the ignition on nothing happens on the instrument panel but there is a “whirling” sound coming from behind the horn but below the battery. Whirling is the best description I can give to the audible sound.

I have removed the front panel and checked all the fuses and they are all good.

Any ideas what could be causing this sound.

    Thanks in advance.

It is the Fuel injection pump trying to prime fuel system ?

Appreciate the reply and the information.
In your opinion, do you think an issue with the fuel injection system would also result in a loss of the electrics?

    thanks for the assistance

Have a 110,priming the system - mine sounds behind seat though.
Have you got a weak side stand cutout switch/spring??.

Anything is possible, best take front panel off to inspect it.

Wiggle the key in the ignition barrel, see if it recreates the problem. I've had that on a few bikes in recent times.
