after i had the head helicoiled and the timing redone, the scooter will not start. It has a good spark, really good compression, it has an open air filter (dont know if that affects it) and a spotless carb. Also has fuel in the tank. When i put a bit of petrol down the barrel it will pop pop pop but then it has nothing. I dont understand why as it did run perfect and there doesnt appear to be anything faulty/blocked. Anyone got any tips? I dont think its pulling petrol from the carb, but all the jets are fine?
all pipes are fine, it was running perfect, then i took engine out to helicoil spark plug and now it doesnt seem to be getting petrol
The head then.. Are you sure you've done it right and not raised the height of the plug and now the sparks not close enough to the piston when detonation should occur??
it just doesnt seem to be getting enough petrol, the spark plugs a dry light brown colour, but carb, jets and all pipes are fine, and the petrol flow is fine, and theres no air leaks so im really confused
replaced all pipes and seals today, topped up with new oil, got a new air filter, and it still wont run -.- the spark plug has a really good spark, but someone told me i should try that?
