My new scoot has only done 2600 miles, but when I pull away from the lights etc, there is a squealing/screeching noise. I pull the throttle right back for a quick getaway. Any ideas? Is my belt on the way out?
Not at 2600 mls but does the squealing go if you open the throttle a bit more progressively? If it's faulty it's still under warranty so see your dealer.
It only squeals when I snap the throttle back when I am stationary. If I pull it back gently it is fine.
