Hey, Im having starting issues. I can turn the bike over but get no spark. Lights, Horn, Indicaters all work even the starter switch works, i just dont get it started. Im thinking its a spark plug issue so buying new 1 tomorrow.

The Bike was apparently running then suddenly stopped, ive drained all petrol, theres no sign of oil as the oil change light comes on, no coolant so topping that up tomorrow,

    any tips?????

But im still a bit lost.

Are you saying there was coolant and oil in it, and you have just changed them?

Or that there was NO oil or coolant in it and you have just filled it up?

Could well be just a wire worked loose under a panel. Check the coil connections.
Ooh and spray some lubricant into the key switch too. Sometimes they cause these sort of problems

No bud, no oil and no coolant so ive drained the 1mm of oil that was in, topped up with 500ml of new, there wasnt even a spring for the filter to go on, coolent getting filled tomorrow in daylight wen ive took all pannels off

If its been running and then stopped and its had no oil or coolant in it, then it could well have no compression and a bad bottom end.

Still doesn't make sense why its not sparking though.

it had compression as it was trying to start but then went dead tonight, maybe ive knocked a wire, tomorrow im stripping pannels, replacing spark, adding new fuel, changing fuses and adding coolant

Check your valve clearances whilst you have it in bits.
Its worth dropping a little oil down the spark plug hole too.

    A rough guide:
    Take the valve cover off.
    Turn to TDC.
Put your feeler gauges in and see if they match the specs.
Sometimes you need a "special tool" to adjust them. (Its a 3mm square head).

Google or youtube will have plenty more in depth guides.

So the update is, new spark on, fresh oil, fresh coolant, fresh petrol, fuses checked and all fine, going to take Battery to Halfords tomorrow to be tested. Think battery is dead or defected
