Hi All Sunday I purchased a Honda NCS 50 R REPSOL Scooter it’s a 2014 model and has had a tough life.
The kid I brought it from said he had replaced the variation and it used to do 40 mph, but said it needed a new clutch.

It starts up fine but when you pull away it revs easy enough to about 10 mph but as it gears up the revs die and it slows to a stop and cuts out.

I have never worked on a scooter but am used to working on motorcycles so I’m handy with spanner’s, I just want to know the possible cause of this before I get a new clutch, if indeed that is the issue.

I’m also after a front left panel in Repsol colours if anyone can help.

    Cheers Duffy

Is it showing a fault on the dashboard?
Or well, is the engine management light flashing at all?

No the dash has no warning lights whatsoever.
It starts first time every time from cold, but when it stalls it takes a few seconds to re start, I’m guessing something is not engaging properly, maybe something sticking?
