Hole near my reed blocks

    I have a typhoon 125 and there is a little metal tube with a hole in it the crank case near where the reed blocks sit it looks like its supposed to be there but is anything supposed to be attatched to it or isit just a breather hole? thanks

    Breather hole? Hell no.

    It's a vacuum hole. So instead of fitting the vacuum pipe from the fuel tap to the carb you can fit it to the case. It can give a better vacuum than using the carbs one.

    If you are not using it you have to block up the hole. A common way is to use a small bit of pipe and wedge a bolt with a bit of silicone on it down the end of it. You would have to block up the carb's one if you decided to use the crankcase vacuum.

    Oh shit lol i wondered why it back fires every now and again :blink: thanks pal :good: i dont need a vaccum pipe anyway because ive got a fuel tap with on and off switch ill block it then, could it have done any damage not having that on?
