Howdo My name is Col, I'm getting on a bit in years, but still a kid at heart. I live & breath motorbikes & ride every day (I don't own a car). My main bike is a Triumph Sprint 955i. I also have a ZXR400 Track bike which I am racing at 3 Sisters in Wigan this year. In a moment of severe madness I have bought this 58 plate Speedfight 2 50LC. The picture is an old one & it is in a bit of a sorry state after being totally abused by a 16 year old lad, but I've only paid a couple of hundred quid for it. I am hoping to tune it up & make it look a little special, so already have a shopping list of a Malossi 70cc kit, different rollers, belt etc. I think that I will be asking some stupid questions as it's the 1st twist & go that I've owned. I do all of my own maintenance on the bikes, so this should be something different.
Welcome to the wacky world of scooters. It is great fun - after 40 years on bikes, my Sym 250 scooter is like riding a comfy chair with your feet up. I'm sure there is just as much variation in scooters as in bikes, but with all the pipes on the inside you need to be prepared for the amount of stuff you might have to take off before you can do a 2 minute job (like changing a headlight bulb last weekend on my Sym which took me 2 hours , where on my Yam Diversion even with the fairing on its a 2 minute reach-round )
Oh, deep joy, thanks for that show Well, I've made room in the shed for Speedy, so let the strip & rebuild begin. See you in the Summer ha ha ha
