Didnt really know what to call the thread but you get the idea. Before everyone starts saying how its illegel anyway because it goes over 30mph, thats not what im gettign at, i just want to know as an excersise of tuning how much can be had from a 50cc without a big bore kit.

My aerox has a polini reed block, 17.5mm carb and a doppler s3r pipe. I have only had the bike a few days and havent had a chance to give it a good run, but the previous owner got 65mph on the clocks which i guess is about 55mph, maybe 60mph at a push.

Is that pretty much all that can be done? Are there any port timing mods that can be done on the minerelli L/C cylinders?

    Thanks

a low % gear up kit but not too big other wise it will hardly move at bottom ..but tbh no point jus by a 70cc mallosi sport or pm if u want reliablilty and then u can do loads but there no point spending more on a 50 just not work the $$$$ for a few extra mph

You will never get speed from tuning a 50. No where near what you'd get from a malossi sport/gear up. Not a relaible tune anyway.

Max of about 45-50 on any 50cc with any bits added. Depending on the size of you and how much you try and lie down on the bike. A gear up on a 50cc will do nothing but slow it down. On a 50cc you will never max out the stock gearing.

Down hill speeds are totally irrelevant just to add.

You could get a 50cc Polini Evolution cylinder kit :) Could probably outclass a lot of 70CC engines... not reliable though for daily use.

LOL.. dont you love it when someone says he got to 70mph on his way down from the Mountains? lol
