White gilly what the fuck are you onabout ? Sadly you have the older version of the engine, so uses older crank which were prone to snapping. I'd personally buy a newer typhoon engine, Pm crank, 172, 25 mm carb, Pm 59 (port flow work) pm variator etc. Costly though.

crank prone to snapping??? oooh that doesnt sound good, do they snap in standard trim or just when they were tuned? what year did the engine change? ahd how can you tell from the outside of the engine which type it is? would the crank snap if you got one of those crank case to back wheel braces ive seen? thanks for your help and advice :)

Get a year 2000 or later rolling nut engine if possible then fit a Malossi barrel, wheelie off the throttle easy. std pipe will be fine .

so any engine after a year 2000 i25 typhoon are the same? and excuse my ignorance but what is rolling nut? also after fitting the malossi barrel ( do you mean a 172? big bore? ) would i need to upgrade gears clutch rollers belt etc ? i have been riding bikes a number of years but am totally new to belt drive autos so am a little lost and will have to start from basics. thanks so much for your help here. i want to get this right, is the engine i have useless then? its only done 3000 kms

And I care because ? The pre 2000 engines are prone to snapping cranks when tuned ? Be quiet.
