Hi I’ve just posted in workshop thread not sure if that’s right? Problem with my sons Aerox! 50cc 2014 Aerox wouldn’t start on his way home from work.tried jumping presuming battery to be flat that didn’t work It sounded tight when trying to turn it over? got it home battery was ok so thought it must be seized checked header tank no water in it so started stripping it down, on removing the exhaust found that full of water, removed the head piston and barrel found some water in the crank case there was slight play in the piston and a little scoring to the barrel so ordered a new piston and barrel and head too!! I’ve now built it back up looking forward to hearing it fire up again but it’s still doing the same won’t turn over sounds tight with plug out the starter motor turns it over but put the plug back in it won’t turn??? Any help would be appreciated.
coolant in the engine sounds like initially the head gasket went... but if the engine is still very tight after basically replacing the whole top end, maybe theres a problem with the crank. This is only a hunch, but im thinking when the head gasket went the engine hydro locked and bent either the crank or con rod. the only other thing i can think of is the main bearings have gone,
