hi im new to the site (gilera runner build)

hi all! im new to the site
i currently own a 09 R1 and a 11 YZ450F
im now trying to relive my youth
i always had gilera runners in my younger years and seeing the prices going up on them, i thought it would be a wise idea
to own one so
im attempting to build a gilera runner 180sp from frame up
i have sourced
a 180 rolling nut engine
a full set of blue and silver zig zag panels
and a sp frame which came with the full loom petrol tank oil tank etc.
i already have a vx125 in my shed that i plan on stripping down for any parts i may need however
ive already came across an issue
the sp frame i have has quite bad rot on the center stand mount
im sure it will fail an mot
but i have a vx 125 frame here also
i was wondering if i could use the vx frame
which is an 2003 plate
is it a case of just swapping the swing arm mounts over?
i may post a thread on the progress
any input would be much appreciated

i dont plan on selling this bike on
id be keeping it for myself
just to own a much loved iconic scooter

 

The 2t and 4t engine mounts are different.
