hi, iv recently tuned my moped honda x8r 50cc to 70cc and im stuck or otherwords pissed off with tuning my carb lol.

items my bike has 70cc barrel and pistion kit, polini gear up kit, malossi primeary gear kit, polini belt, malossi cdi unit, standard variator, 6.5gram roller's, leo vince tt exhaust, big bore triangle vavle reed manifold kit, ngf oko carburetor, metal mesh air filter,

main jet was at 90mm and got it drilled to 95mm and my air corrector/correction jet was at 95mm got it drilled to 100mm and i brought a set of main jets from 100mm to 122mm

    the size of the main jets i have 95mm, 100mm, 102mm, 105mm, 108mm, 110mm, 112mm, 115mm, 118mm, 120mm, 122mm,

what i basicaly need help with is if i have a main jet at 90mm and my air correction/corrector jet is set at 95mm if i change the main jet to let more fuel go throw do i need to put a smaller air correction/corrector jet to make my main jet or do i change it to a bigger one aswell as the main jet ? many thankz jamie if need pic of the parts or any more info to help you help me sort my bike out just ask thankz.

your probably chasing your tail as the rollers probably arnt right. dont use drilled jets, its plain bodge and nowhere near accurate. both the rolller and jetting guide will help out emmensley. incorrect rollers will seem like a fueling issue, seen it a million times

changing a carb stilll means transmission setup aswell as setting the carb itself up... its an auto. everything requires transmission setup lol figure out the private message function on here if you wanna sort out having the bike fixed.. im not throwing my number on an open board :)

ok it dont matter i think i found out the reason for low power less top end and not being able to tune it to profecton

i was out side warming my bike up as i normaly do and my mum come out and said that dont sound good and i said exsplain she said it use to sound healthy compare to what it sounds like now so i went round checking the eninge and i can feel warm air being pushed out the side of the head barrel/ piston and so i started stripping my bike and i looked into the head/piston area from the exhaust mount and the piston looks goldy and black and scratched and scored up badly do i need to change the 70cc kit ???
