thanks guys btw. anyone got a scorpion for sale and is willing to ship it to Croatia and accept payment through paypal? I am not allowed to post in Wanted forum yet
:welcome: Nice bike, and like a few others had said, you definitely want to buy something worth the money that your actually gonna see any real improvement from. Scorpion is ok if you like the look, and like the deep, low noise. For any real power improvement your looking at the likes of; PM Tuning 59 exhaust PM Tuning 55 There are of course of big brand exhausts on the market but all will depend really on your state of tune?
I don't get it guys why are you so much against scorpions and you are recommending PM pipe while every other topic is about bitching on PM tuning and welding cracked PM pipes. I am not gonna spend 400 euro for a pipe that I'll have to weld every now and then. About the scorpion, first of all I don't have any experience with any of aftermarket pipes, all I know I've read on the forums and I also read that scorpion is not bad if at all especially for road use, of course if it's matched to the cylinder timing and all other parts. I'll use my bike on the roads and long rides outside town, I am not interested in dyno racing nor I will baby my bike in the garage, it is built to be riden. At the moment I am collecting parts for the new highly tuned engine I will be building soon and port timing will be modified depending on the pipe I get. Scorpions look good, don't rust, and should perfom good so everything else is how I set it up. No parts will make a bike fast if they are not set up well.
Your right, I saw your post after I posted mine but PM pipes are out of the question. As I said engine will be highly tuned with 55mm crank, big reed cage, keihin pwk 28 etc and cylinder highly ported. We'll see what power will come out of it. still looking for a used scorpion in a good condition...
