Just joined the forum. I've owned a variety of cheap 1000cc 1990s bikes and after a couple of years off two wheels (wifey having kids) am back and giving peds a go. I ride all year round and the salt was wrecking the big bikes, not to mention their mpg and two sets of tyres a year. Loving the twist and go, great fun and nice to get my hands dirty tinkering again. Currently on a VX125 Runner 4T and might get a 2T project soon too, once I fix the fork seals and find a replacment exhaust that doesn't cost >£225 Must get back to work Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
Welcome mate, im in the same situation at the moment going from a FZR 1000 and Z650/750 to tinkering with a ped lol
Cheers Detonation, I'm hoping my license will last longer riding a ped compared to a Widow Maker too. Missing the poke to overtake cars doing 55mph. Might need a scoot with one or two more horses! Any ideas? Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
The only ped i've ever seen with a bit of poke was a mate used to have a piaggio zip 50 with a Gilera Runner 125 engine and a 172cc kit on it, that thing was rapid for a twist and go. I've only got a shitty little 50 atm as it was going for £100 lol
That's what my mate kept saying about his piaggio zip 50 with a Gilera Runner 125 engine and a 172cc kit on it, kept saying it would accelerate as quick as a R1 and do 100mph so we tried it on the A12 once and my 1995 CBR 600 smoked him, didn't keep up on acceleration in the slightest not even close and as you said sat at 80mph
