    Hi all
I have been lurking for several years courtesy of Tapatalk.

    I ride a Kymco xciting 500 ri 2010, currently with 48600km.
I aquired the scoot used from a dealer with 14000km in late 2013.
I traded in a Kymco grand dink 250.

Very happy scootin in the sun in the Cape.

    Hi skubabiker
You can keep that "cold and wet" business ... :)

We had some rain last week, but sunny again, with temps about 17 degrees c.
    No wind.

I am about to hop onto the scoot with the wife and take a ride to the mom-in-law.
Could get a free lunch out of this major sacrifice!

free lunch is always good! im going to help my father in laws uncle (great uncle in law?) with a 50 year old bike today, luckily its heated in his workshop, as we have this crazy storm blowing in from over the mountains, no rain, but its cold (like 7 degrees today, yesterday it was 14 or so!)

    Hi
I could not reply as we were on the road, and also my mobile isp was having technical dificulties, so no data network was available.

I am back home now, and that 50 old bike sounds interesting.
Even more interesting is where you will get spares, if needed.

    Have fun.

We got a nod from another crotch-rocket rider on the way back...:D

My scoot looks just like a big bike from the front.

old brit bikes are quite easy to get spares, i had an old japanese bike a few years ago that was impossible to get parts for....
the old bike ran well, we got it to run on a nice even idle, needs a quite big list of parts, but all in they only cost around 120 pounds including delivery.
i wave to everyone when riding any bike, mostly people dont wave back if im on a small bike, but sometimes they do.
