After many years of wanting an Aerox 50cc I finally acquired one.
First time owning a scooter.
Wanted cheap and fun to scooter to go from a ride locally and along the roads near the beach during the summer months..
Had a Ducati 600 monster back in the early 2000s but had a disagreement with a car.
It's a 2006 R model, has a giannelli pipe fitted, overall a bit rough. I have removed all the panels and cleaned the frame and engine. In pretty good condition under the body work. But has been dropped a few times so lots of scraps and scratches on the body work. Going back together now.
Forks have been stripped due to a leaky seal. Waiting on parts to complete.
In the cleaning process found that it has had a mallossi variator (after I ordered a few sets of standard rollers), upgraded contra and clutch springs.
Spoke to the guy at the local scooter shop yesterday and he said I am after 15 years too late for the local scooter scene.
Oh well, back to completing the build and hopefully having it finished by next weekend.
