hi from a noob

    hiya gents, just signed up

    gunna fess up now, ive always hated bikes (sorry)

    but after being told i cant park my car at work ive been cycling and swiftly hated that. so have bought a ped and am doing my CBT next week

    will pop up a thread in the appropriate place. but just wanted to say hi first

    Welcome, and don't hate, appreciate :)
    Just think of the plus sides, free parking, no queuing at traffic lights, plus they're so much fun!!
    What ped you got?

    or sumat like that :)

    i do see the point of having a ped and after a quick blast up my back street seems i might actually enjoy my time with the old gent :)

    Being 27 makes me an old git, but also means only 120 quid to insure the ped :)

    That doesn't make you old, there's people in there 40s on here :)
    Mine was 300 :/ first thing insured, only 19 years old, and I got my provisional the day it was insured lol

    Suppose it's not lol, could've been alot worse!
    And it's easy! Hour in the class (you'll be fine coz you drive) all about road positioning etc, hour learning signals and how to control the bike around cones etc, then 2 hours on the road riding around :)
    Just gotta prove your a safe rider lol,
    I went to mine after only a couple hours sleep so I was pretty knackered, didn't really know about all the positioning and I flew through it all lol

    Yeah im not expecting it to be difficult. And ill be doin it on a 50 twist an go so I can concentrate on being safe rather than messin with gears :)

    Well mate, I do a lot of cycling back and forth to work my self mate, but it help s a fare bit to know from experience from other drivers who don't have any considerate about anyone on two wheels, so you know your skills by staying alert.

    but then I live in london on a accident hotspot! :( .,
