Hey guys, Im Jack, Im 16 not bought my scooter yet but signed up just for advice really, I'm looking at a 'Peugeot Speedfighter 3', is it a good buy for my first? and also insurance is a right pain, the cheapest quote was £449.71 but i got offered to go on my mums insurance, is that a good move or should i have my own? Thanks - Scazzney
Hi, welcome, I'd go on your mums for a year or so, after that then go third party, just to build your no claims, so that by the time you've got a couple of years of no claims under your belt, you'll probably be ready for car insurance, if go for your own now, any small prangs you have will crucify your car insurance, right upto the age of 25.
speedfight 3 is alright my freinds dose 50 derestricted and is quite good on acceleration but its always going back to the shop to get fixed though
Yes the look nice but alot of ppl call dem speedshites.lol...every1 has a different opinion tho..im a fan of the runner and dragsters
all of my mated have speedfights and said they were brilliant but after buying one they are defo speedshites in my opinion
i got a speedfight and a typhoon, much prefer the typhoon, even tho its a 172. id say try get a runner or typhoon imo
if its a peugeot you want get a trekker my freinds dose 55 and its the original exhaust just derestricted
Gilera mate..but alot of mopeds are da same pretty much. Engine wise...what cc u looking to get.a50 or 125..
defo get a runner my matees dad has an 03 runner 50 with a tecnigas exhaust and i was doing 56 on my old phantom and he came past me like i wasnt moving
Yea if u look about ya could pick a runner 125/172 registerd as a 50.lol..but u wud wanna make sure its been done priperly
Thanks anyways lee! I just don't know the prices for scooters/peds I got offered a de-restricted Speedfight 3 £750 2011 and i was told by another guy that it was a good offer, i rode it and no problems pretty quick aswell but im not sure exactly how fast 50mph+
