Right me and a mate were ridin' round today when we went passed a field with a few pit bikes racin' round... ...and we decided to join them. But on our peds. I was great fun and a good laugh but ... Now my ped wont work!!! I was going to go out tonight when it wouldn't start. Checked fuel as it's getting low but there is plenty for a small journey, cleaned up spark plug etc and got it running again. But the problem before was it splutters on low revs, now you have to constantly full throttle or it dies. So could anyone help me please!? :nerd: Bare in mind the field was very bumpy lol and yes I have learnt that peds should stay to the road!!
sounds like a compression issue to me, does the kickstart push down easier than it didand is the bike harder to start. checkyour crank seals and top-end compression
cheers wobbly yeah the kick start does seem a bit easier. How do I check my crank seals? Is it easy enough, never done it before!
if the kickstart is easier it's more like top-end. to check this, take the plug out and cover the plug hole with your thumb and thurn the motor over. it should blow your thumb off the hole. if not then top-end compression is down to check crank seals you will need to remove the variatorand the crap behind it and see if there is a "Wet" patch around the seal and the same on the flywheel side.
Yeah I think it's prob top end. Is the only cure to change barrel + piston? If so maybe time for a 70 kit.
