Hi everyone. I'm a newish 2008 50cc Zoomer owner and need some advice. I'm not particularly mechanically-minded so please keep it simple.

Basically I want to keep my Zoomer standard but want a stronger rear shock as I'm 15 stone. It rides fine but I want it to be a bit taller or firmer. Not got a big budget as I have another bike and rarely use it.

Any advice on makes and models and where to buy a better shock would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Steven

Easiest thing is to measure the shock from the centre of each bolt hole, then search for a slightly longer one.
Pedparts, Racing Planet, Sip Scooters and the like. Most will give the measurements of each shock

Thanks very much Steve for your reply. Will there always be a bit of slack when a shock comes off in order to be able to fit a slightly longer one?

Did I post this type of question in the correct place? I'm new to this.

    Have a good day.

Yeah, it's in the workshop section so fine.
You will need to support the rear of the bike when you remove the old shock as it'll drop like a brick. A friend is good enough to hold it up.
There's loads of movement to fit the new one as the engine rocks on a centre pivot bolt
