I was hoping someone on here could confirm what I've been led to believe the problem is. My SR starts first time and runs perfectly, but if you lean the bike to the left while its running you can hear a clanging sound coming from the transmission case. It doesn't ever happen when it's upright or leant to the right. I did ask a friend the other day who said it would be the starter bendix, I would just like confirmation if its likely to be this before I look into fixing it. Cheers.

lean it left let it bee like this for a bit and then take the side case off check for any fresh scrape marks etc , try to take the bendix out , kick start it and see if it still makes the noise if it does take side case of while engine is running if the noise is gone means something is rubbing against the side case, hope it helps mate
