i have a polini variator on my gilera runner 125 engine and im using the extra spacer the polini variator comes with and the original washers / spacers are in the correct places. but as you can see from the picture the crankshaft splines come out a bit so the nut does not clamp the variator.
obviously i could put a thicker washer on or a extra washer behind the variator.

has any one had this problem ?

If you have a complete std variator try that to see whats going on.

Then you have your answer, something wrong with the variator spacers, I personally am a big fan of the std 180 variator, works fine.
