Hi. I've just got a Piaggio 50 cc as cheap runner for work. It had no keys, just a switch to start it. I've just ordered a key set. See pics below. I dont know about scooters,how do attach these please Thanks
Have you checked to see if the multiplug is there for a start? And that the tube is still attached to the frame behind the panel and not split or missing completely? If the answer is yes to both, then happy days, it's quite straightforward. Front panel off, rear panel off, put big green thing into hole, retain with big clip, attach multiplug. Push ignition into front, it should secure itself with a small click (if you can hear it). Put the key in the ignition, take it out again, if the barrel comes out with the key then it isn't fixed with the clip, do it again so the barrel doesn't come out. Eh voila, done

Yup, when you remove the front and rear panels it will expose all of where the new stuff will go. The large black part with the key and it's surround will cover that hole. This is a video of a piaggio zip being done, should help you a bit.

Hi Steve. I.dont have one of those clips. One came with the new green ignition switch. Its a different shape. Where could I get one from or could I just improvise with something. Thanks.
Hi. Where dose this clip go to hold switch in please ? Also, Is this a clip inside to hold barrel lock ?
The clip in your hand secures the green block at the back of the tube. See that slot in the front? the clip goes through two little holes in that slot to secure the key barrel I think pedparts do the clips separately now
