a few weeks ago i removed the snorkel from my air box i tried to ride it but it ran like a pig so i put it back how it was straight away. is this because i needed a bigger main jet?

    Current setup.
Malaguti F15 Firefox. (Same engine as the aerox)
What looks like a viper exhaust :emb:
    4.8g rollers
    Malossi filter foam
    De-restricted

I want to remove this snorkel again.
Does anyone know what size jet i sound be fitting?

m8, leave the alone, if you dont know what your doing you wont get the jetting and ROILLERS right.. nobody can tell you what jet to run and its just riskin your engine for a LOSS in poiwer and gain in noise/fuel consumption... but im sure you dont care, and want to do it anyway same as everyone with a 50 and a filter

no need to be like that MiNoR everyone has to start somewhere. even you. anyway if the legends true that you were born with a haynes manual in your left hand and a 100 piece tool kit in the other. im in wrong
but if you dont ask the questions you will never find out.
il leve it alone for now. and mebys work on it over winter.

    thanks for the advice

just sayin read up a bit, i know everyone can learn, i learn every day... all im sayin is learn first an try later.. your bike wil last alotn longer..

and yes there was a time when i had never touched a ped.. i was still 18 befor i even touched one. but ye.. get to reading, spend som,e money.. bikes dont go faster for free.. ESPECIALLY wiht the max power orientated "more air" theory... induction kits dont work an filters kill power on most bikes ;)

im 18 now and this is my first ped.
i was always more of a car person, but i got the fox insted.
and tbf i love riding more than cars now.
i know filters dont work unless you have quite a powerful setup.
in most cases the standard airbox is more eficiant than a after market filter and can sometimes produce more power than having an open filter.

il take your advice. il read up first before i do anything.
its running nice how it is.
il just start work on the body. get that looking nice and fresh :pimp:

if you wanna tune it go for a 70 kit and leave the rest alone, get that setup (rrollers an jetting) and you will know everything you need to to figure things like filters an pipes that need pritty accurate setting or it just wont work. filters do mean roller's jets and hairpulling when it wont work

il have a read up and a look into it

if you fit a 70 kit an leave the rest stock, once setup is even more reliable, longer lasting and more powerfull than stock... throw a pipe at it and it starts to strain it a little.. ipe on a 50m is the worst tho. grab a 70 kit for sure ;)

narrow powerband, harder revving, doesent like making power at low rpm's so your constantly straining/revving the engine to make it move. good fun but shit for fuel econimy and life of the engine
