right, wacked the 172 on my sr, everything else stock. i got told you dont need to upjet, so i didnt, bike ran like shit, upjetted by 2 and it felt to rich? so went back down and knocked the needle down by 1 and it runs good, but bike wont go past at 60? something is restrcting it. So i was thinking new rollers, belt, springs to over haul the transmission side as i dont think thats been touched in a few years.

so what do people recomend rollers wise? and do you thinking its getting too lean on top end? i got no A/F mix screw on my carb for some reason, its like a blanking plug in there? actually saying that i think it maybe over revving?

    Help appreciated :)

put the needle back where it was... your rollersa are probably flat or way too heavy. 12.5 on an ac is about ballpark with most pipes, especially stock.. if you want go up a little on the jet, but there really is no point. with a filter you only just run a 90 main jet.. bearly into the 100's wiht a 25mm carb. deffo rollers, or a verry tired engine

ok cheers, i checked the crank, and seemed ok, had a little bit of side to side movement (few mm's) which i heard was ok, hope its not a tired engine :( but ill get the side case off tomorow or next week.

ill order neew belt and some 12.5's.

    cheers minor.

rule is get it running perfect as a 125 first then you eliminate alot of problems. i ran a 90 or something like that in my sr172. runner exhaust 12.5 gram rollers standard belt and it wheelied like fuck

For real you dont have to upjet for a 172? So I can just bang a 172 on my skipper and it'll run well without changing a thing providing my bike is standard, running the airbox, and kit installed correctly??

    :) :)
