i have just gone and got another x8r and i was thinking peugeot and honda moped engines are near anuth the same example peugeot speedfighter and the honda x8r engine near anuth the same stuff can go on each other so i was wondering would i be able to convert my honda x8r 50cc engine into a 100cc engine if i change the honda x8r crankshaft for the peugeot speedfighter 100cc crankshaft and put a 100cc cylinder kit on it would this work i fort it might seem the engines are near anuth the same and the 100cc has a bigger crankshaft then the 50cc so was wondering if any of you could let me know if it would work ? basicly i wonna put and 100cc crankshaft and cylinder kit on the honda x8r 50cc

WOW that was difficult to read.
But more than likely not, you'd need some case work for the cylinder to fit as a 100cc cylinder will be too wide, it's generally a pretty pointless and problematic thing to do tbh...

i think a basic 70cc kit would be a lot more simple to fit, and you know it will work..

jesus i wouldn't want to read that out loud I would die from lack of oxygen! the mounts may be slightly different best thing to do is look at them both side by side if you can.

engine might drop in fine but the loom etc could be different

dont even try it, not worth it. just drop the lump in if thats the case so much easyer and more reliable. or just buy a 100/125/180..

no doubt the crank will not fit in my opinion as it will have a bigger diameter. which create problems with the cases, bearings, seals and probably flywheel and variator. its not worth it as said just get a bigger cc lump

the 100cc crank is WAY bigger than the stoke 50 crank and the bore is WAY wider, it would not work.

NOT TRUE THE HEAD BORE KIT WILL WORK but if the crankshaft wont go in then the bore wont work anyway coz the bore need the 100cc crankshaft coz it has a longer stroke and ok dw people and 2MANY2STROKES SHOULD OF READ THE POST BEFORE COMMENTING THANKZ ANY WAY PEOPLE ILL JUST DO A DIFFRENT PROJECT

coz i want do something some one wont have the same as and was gunna bore it to 120cc as iv seen a head for the 100cc engine so that why i wanted to know if i can put it in a honda engine and plus i have a honda x8r engine that near anoth the same as speed fight engine and its stripped right down to engine casing and that why i wanted to convert it and put 100cc crankshaft and then the piston kit but never mind ill work on a diffrent project then and i have a 70cc but it had a 70cc aftermarket ebay cylinder kit on it and now waiting for my malossi 70cc cylinder kit to come and my aftermarket one is going in my other post if you wonna see the damage of it lool BARREL 1.jpg PISTON 3.jpg

dont think so mate the head is the wrong size if you look at the pics the barrel and piston one set so the head i was given it by my mate who said it might be for a 70cc not sure so i use it anyway, im taking my kit to the garage see what he says and does anyone know what torque you do the head up at ????
