Hi, Wonder why my bike the Piaggio Typhoon 160cc 2 temps is so vibration at handles. I've checked the oil & gas, variator & clutch, piston and crankshaft even renew the 2 wheels. Please advise me if you met it before. Big thanks/ Jason PS: here some pics of my passion. How is my 360 pipe which was hand made by our guy
have the tires been balanced? vibrations could be due to a buckled/dented wheel worn engine mount bushes worn swing arm bushs or the bushs can be too tight worn silent bush
Hi Ramo & Creamsodauk 1. Iv widened the piston (60) 2. Then Iv change this to fix it wz piston size: 3. Then I replaced the secondary gear as it: 4. Iv change the carburetor to 28mm wide mouth and air filter: 5. Now I think I should change: a. Piston to 68 wide (full kit) b. Lengthen the crankshaft to 1.5 And also check the advises of CREAMSODAUK. "have the tires been balanced? vibrations could be due to a buckled/dented wheel worn engine mount bushes worn swing arm bushs or the bushs can be too tight worn silent bush " *** Will update u soon. Tks fr Jason/ Vietnam
when i tested: it went slow when departure and i feel the engine is so weak (lack of power). The gear is Malossi so that is why i need to widen the piston to 68 ??!! to make the engine more poweful! When the bike was original one, i drove it also vibration much . and when Iv tuned it as the above, and change the wheels & carburetor (fr 25 to 28mm mounth). This vibration is decreasing but it still. Thanks much for your attention because in our country Vietnam, I think only me restrore this bike , that is why noone might help me here!
First, get a set of street tires, those knobby tires that come OEM, ride bad.....I put a set of Pirelli Sl26 Scooter Tires on mine.....Then, I would get some aftermarket shocks....... I don't think the plastic's have much to do with the ride, except for aerodynamics at high speed....and maybe the extra weight would help the bouncing......
