    Hiya
i own aprilia sr which has now been off road for 2 months
i was riding down the road and there was a noise coming from the transmission case, and then there was a loud noise come from there and the bike losted power, i pulled over and took off the tranny case and saw that the nut what holds on the front pulley and belt etc came off and was in little pieces. i know that i need 2 replace the crank, seals and bearing but i wanna buy a malossi 70 kit.
will this crank be alright will the kit???

Wasn't the nut for the variator tight enough?

Should really get a torque wrench ;)

I don't know if its true but i heard if you tighten it too much, it wouldn't spin as freely?

So get a torque wrench and set it to the correct torque (40nm)

you heard wrong, seeing as youre only bolting to the crank, there is nothing you are actually tightening down against. do it as tight as you can (without shearing it)
