Right ill try explain this as well as I can... I think my bike is setup to have sports exhaust fitted . But I have standard pipe on it the old man I got it off said it used to have a sports exhaust but was to loud so he took it off anyway... The restricter in the variator has been removed (not by myself), yet I struggle to see 30 also found out last night its got 3.5 gram malossi rollers standard are 6.5 I think I tried 5.5 its all I had and still struggle to 30 with even worse acceleration so what you think was it setup to sports exhaust? Any help is always appreciated to scared to look at jet never done a carb and its my daily ride
I would so check carb./jetting esp.after you mentioned 'sports exhaust', there not that scary - Just set it up on a nice clean uncluttered area an be methodical about it.mk. .
thanks for the reply mark iv bought a cheapo sports exhaust for £20 off a friend havent seen it yet but he claims its solid so will see if that sorts things out just dont know why i aint getting over 30 on the flat
Might be an idea to convert Completely back to standard - then let's party ehh?, be a good way ti know if your working long the right lines 'sted of taking on someone else's own/unknown set-up, More used to working on slightly more dated stuff - but gathered tuning usually follows such on more modern:- Variator (upper/lower rollers =speed, acceleration), CDI Exhaust (de-restricted) Carburettor Gear-up kits Air filter(better air flow) Tyres (less drag) Big-bore kits (power % increase) Throttle, etc, too name a few., Always check your brakes of course as binding could take a few mph off.mk. .
