My italjet formula f50 does not want to start it used to start on kick start. it got a new spark plug , new battery, Any reasons why it would not start ?
Is your kick start in working order ? (does it turn the crank), Does the spark plug spark ( take it out, kick the engine over, and put the spark plug to your foot pegs) if it dont spark it maybe either faulty sparkplug, or may need new HT lead. if it does spark, you could have series of engine problems that you will need to trace back.
like i said, test the spark plug against a part of the frame or foot pegs and if it sparks, then u have a problem with fuel line, could have a blocked jet, sticky reeds that wont open or u may need to clean ur fuel filter.
if it sparks and fuel is getting to the bore you may have ignition problems, not a powerful enough spark or the timing have moved some how dont kick it over too much you may also flood your bore
Why did you replace the spark plug in the first place, was it struggling to start?. remove the plug put a small amount of fuel in the hold refit plug and see if it will start for a short time.
You sure its not your ht cable that's dodgy I can't understand y it won't start it u got a spark and fuel to the bore !!
