ok i am about to order a polini 70cc kit from pmtuning its £62 which i think is pretty good. is there anything else i will need to buy? my friend said a bigger carb but i swear ive heard on here that its ok to run it on a standard carb as long as its up-jetted? my ped is a gilera ice and its got 10,500 miles on the clock. its on a 54 plate if this helps.
Dont forget p.m prices are + vat and p&p not sure if the ice has a restricted inlet manifold...it would be easy to spot whilst your rejetting the carb anyway... And if youve got the later airbox (long thin one) they are very restrictive!! The earlier triangle shaped airbox like on my Runner are far superior air flow wise
yea think its £10 vat and about £6 p+p. i wont be fitting it myself ill have my local scooter shop do it, so if it needs new manifolds i will have to leave it there and go order some yea its not the triangle one its the rectangle one on its side. what does this mean ill be best to get an open one and put a case round it so it doesnt get water all on it.
dont think the manifold is tbh. but like dave said the box is a twat for flow so could do with opening that up abit.
The air horn/inlet pipe is sooo tiny on those later boxes... you cant even fit your little finger inside it :w00t:

yeah. and also inside is even smaller when the front screws on it also closes up and their is a even smaller hole than the inlet i think :rofl:
if they know what they are doing then thats fine....but most scooter/bike and car garages know absolutely nothing about tuning/modifying!!
nah there good there actually a scooter tuning shop/garage. tons of modified aeroxs there all of them with chrome zx's lol i think i will have to go with a open air filter i think then or me bike wont be able to breathe

i had one of those semi open Doppler filters on mine for a while... didnt really go any faster than with my experimental modded airbox....but the Doppler made a right din still that may be right up some peoples street... judging by 1 or 2 topics ive read on here lately imp:
im not looking for the air filter to make me go faster just want it to be better for my engine and less hassle. whats din? lol
