help needed fuel problem

Hi every1 I ve got a piaggio zip RST 1998 reg's as a s and got a problem with my ped using too much fuel as for at the beging of the week (monday) I filled here right up and Wednesday I had the blinking fuel lite come on then thursday morring come out no fuel lights and fuel fine den by thursday nite fuel light on solid so today had to fill up! I was traveling 1.4 miles from mine to the place den same home please help plus how should a 50cc sound when 1st started n at idle speed

i reckon its your carb float bowl. there is a little pipe under neath check that to see if there is wet marks i.e fuel leak or has leaked..... if so just block it up mate i have done it on mine and have had no probs ever with it like that you could glue the bowl(from the outside) just in the hole or i just put a screw snug in the pipe and it solved that problem for me happy fixing lol djtagsta
