Help need to release bike seat

My partner removed my battery and closed the seat on my piaggio x8 125. The key fob wont work. I found a boot release lever but will I be able to release the seat from inside ? I have a back box on and don't know how to get it off. Any help please as garage will charge £25 just to pick it up

 

You can release it manually from inside. Back box is dead easy to remove with screwdriver and correct sized spanner.

 

I've had a problem starting the bike for a few weeks. I put a new battery on but one day had to jump start it. A friend put the leads on wrong way round and blew two fuses. The battery wont trickle charge now, so I'm thinking the battery is wrecked.

 

It does sound like your batterys died and gone to battery heaven. I hope it had a long and fruitful life

That's terrible, I would be inclined to return in it if you still have it.

 

You won't get a refund for operator error.
I'm not super familiar with these bikes, but a lot of scoots you can get a very long flat screwdriver under the seat and pop the lock mechanism after about 30 mins of swearing.
