hi, i bought a 2004 gilera vx a few weeks ago and it has a few problems. it starts up perfect every time, but it dosnt build up speed, im not sure exactly how fast it gos because the speedo isnt working. but i know iv had 40mph out of it. i dont know how to explain it but its like when you drive the bike, on pull off its very responsive and feels like there is loads of power there, but you hit maby 30-40mph and it starts jerking and takes long to build up any more speed. i have cleaned the carb and found that one of the jet heads have been snapped off, so i dont know if thats got anything to do with it. iv also checked the rollers, and i found there are five 8.2g rollers and one 9.4g roller. will this have anything to do with it? any suggestions will be very much appreciated. and if anyone knows the original size jets and rollers for a gilera vx 125 please let me know. thanks for you help

if the jets snapped get it out and take it to a motorbike shop... if you still got the bit thats snapped off it would make it easier for the guy in the shop... and i would have all the rollers the same weight.... ive never tried having a odd one but i dont think it would be a good idea....

erm if you keep differnt weight rollers you will snap youir crank, its out of balance and your crank is a critical componant. also a snapped jet could be the reason, its probably the wrong jet, sounds like your main jet is to small.
