Hi guys, i have Aprilia SR street stock, with a 17.5 carburettor. I recently ordered Tecnigas TEK exhaust, should i order a racing variator, would it make any difference in power ? And btw which variator is better Mallosi multivar or Motoforce racing ? And give me some tips for tuning, i'm new here.
youll need to upjet with the exhaust. mallossi will serve you well, some on here will say motorforce but mallossi multivar will last aswell as perform better than standard. other than that cant offer tuning advice other than look after it, run it on good oil, keep ontop of changing your plug and cleaning air filter etc etc..
If you've gone from stock exhaust to a sports exhaust, then you will need to upjet about 3 to 5 points. Plus maybe change the rollers as well. There is no one solution for changing the main jets or what size you need. You need to find out your main jet size as it is now and then buy a pack of jets and have a play to find the right one for the exhaust. Until you do that there is no point spending out money on variators yet.
