    Hi guys,
Ive got a Derbi GP1 (Same engine as the piaggio Gilera runner) and im looking to fit a sports exhaust. Everything is standard except for the fact its been derestricted and upjetted to suit. Im not looking to fit a 70cc kit or anything because ill only have this bike for another 7 or so months and cant justify the extra expense.

I have three criteria for a new exhaust:

    1) Must be quiet with a re-packable end can (Police around here hunt for mopeds with loud exhausts)
    2) Must have good acceleration, I know some of this is down to roller wait and clutch springs but I need good acceleration in the Low - Mid rev ranges as there are a lot of hills around where I live
    3) Must be less then around £150, I can go a bit over and I can certainly go lower!

So ive found a few exhausts that meet my criteria, and Id like your opinions on these pipes and some suggestions of others you think would be suitable. The exhausts im looking at are:

    1) The Giannelli Extra. http://www.donotlink-pedstop.co.uk/...exhaust_for_Piaggio_Zip_Gilera_Runner-27.aspx

    2) The Polini Scooter team exhaust http://www.myscooterparts.co.uk/aut...---fits-gp1-50-open-model-only-/vp000281/274/

    3) The Laser X Pro http://www.donotlink-pedstop.co.uk/...haust_for_Gilera_Runner_DNA_NRG_etc-1623.aspx

    4) The Yasuni Z http://www.sip-scootershop.com/EN/P...Scooter+Z+YASUNI+Piaggio+ACLC+with+epass.aspx

I would also like to know if these exhausts come with restrictors in them and, if so, how hard they are to remove.

    Thanks for your help guys!

the yasuni z by far seems the more appropriate approach

Does it come restricted? If so how do I derestrict it? I heard it has a cone in the expansion chamber which I assume is difficult to remove?

The Yasuni Z is the best by miles in terms of build quality and power on 70cc kits but on a stock bike the gains will be pretty much the same when you fit any sport exhaust.

All e-marked road legal aftermarket exhausts are restricted otherwise they wouldn't get an e-mark. Most of them it's a welded in the downpipe and you have to use a dremel or something similar to grind out the welds. The Yasuni Z also has one in the end can. They are designed so they are easy to remove.

No sports exhaust is anywhere near as quite as a stock exhaust. They are all pretty loud.
