Help identify this part!

    Really struggling with this, looked through the whole electrical section on pedparts and there's nothing that resembles it.

    It's some weird componant that sits in a little mount on the head stock, with a wire going to each end of it. That's all I know really. I emailed the pics to donotlink and pedparts, and they don't know what it is either. I'm pretty sure it's a standard thing though as it has a bracket.

    any ideas where the wires come from and go to

    It could be a supressor to stop the spark interferring with radios and TV's

    I think it's a resistor (it is definitely a resistor)that's connected to the auto choke, the choke is supplied with 12v a/c then this power needs to to be earthed as the the choke warms up.

    This bike is a 2000 though, no auto choke :/
